Traveling in Thailand with a Nut Allergie

Hi guys, first time on here.

My partner and I are going to thailand (and cambodia) in late october. I have a Nut allergie, all nuts especilly cashews and peanuts. Obviously these feature alot in thai cooking. I was wondering how you think I would go communicating in english and phrasebook thai that I will die if I eat nuts! I would like to do thailand by ourselves rather than with a tour so also wondering how "hard" it is to get around and find your way to places. I have been to Japan, Osaka (not too bad) and the south west in particular where no-one speaks english and there are no english signs anywhere. That was what I would class "hard".

Any help/hints would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Reply to this
