The city is surrounded by a medieval stone wall that you can walk along.
Johnny was a welchman, Johnny was a theif....
Wait a minute, that might not be a good poem to put here. Where did all that Welsh bias come from, anyway? Welshing on a bet, etc. The people of wales are even nicer than those in the rest of Great Britain, and that's saying a lot.

Tonight we're sitting in a little pub below our room, with a huge window looking out at the setting sun above the atlantic ocean not more than 50 feet away. It's about 60 degrees and breezy, like most days.

Yesterday we drove up from England, after stopping at Warwick Castle and Oxford. On the way we drove through Snowdonia area (beautiful, people from all over the UK and world come to holiday here). Justin recognized a city from a book he'd read, called Betws-y-Coed, so we headed that way. It was dark and raining, mist hanging over the low hills. It was awesome - everything is so green. Just like you might imagine, sheep on the hills, etc. Every scene out the car window looks like a postcard setting. Anyway, after driving to and fro, we found the village, then found the spot from

The castle has been used for a number of movies, including Harry Potter. This is a shot of the wall where the flying lesson in the first film takes place.
the book, called Fairy Glen (real place). There was a gate, so we put in our pound sterling in a box and went thru. The path wound down into the glen, next to a raging river. It was dark (9pm) and still raining, so wet, slippery, rocky and slopey down into the forest. I had my hood on but of course Justin went without hat - as he loves to walk/run in the rain. So we did the 30 minute trail by jogging, in about 15 minutes. A highlight of the trip. We like it so much here we switched our Ferry to tomorrow, to stay another night in Wales. Tomorrow we go to Ireland.
