hardly a meal's worth!
Morning my public! First of all, can I say a huge thanks for all your comments (some useful ones about our storage dilemma - have ditched the plant), good to receive and to know that you're out there, willing us on.... I have to say it does feel a bit like a feat of endurance at the mo, since it's hardly stopped raining since we cast off, and also rather cold. Just remind me why we're doing this?!

So, some news... Marlow was cold and wet. We didn't venture out in search of thermals as previously stated 'cos too cold and wet! Instead, we had a lovely time sitting , me reading, H fishing... yes I know.... why? Perhaps the hunter gatherer in him, wanting to catch our tea? Well, in answer to the burning question on everyone's lips I'm sure, we had supper in Two Brewers in Marlow. This is an old hunting ground for me in a past life... ah... but the less said about that the better. Back on board, played Cribbage (H won) and we removed one of the storage problems.

Next morning, the lure of the local swimming pool was too great to resist, or rather the hot showers available afterwards! Sheer bliss! Interesting statue of Sir Steve Redgrave in park overlooking river...

After a lunch in Marlow with Mum and Alan, we set sail for Bourne End, a significant place in our lives (more later). Still raining. More fishing, and with more success, but hardly a meal's worth! More reading, early into our cosy cabin with headtorches. I can tell you're all jealous.

Thought I'd update you all with some facts so far since this is supposed to be educational too:

Seen Ray Mears?
Hi Sis and H, sounds a ball. At least river should be in fast flow which means going down stream you're hardly using any fuel. Was the hot shower after swimming the highlight so far? We're off to Newbury races tomorrow to meet up with gang and John and Lorraine from N Zealand. Bringing J&L back to Wey for a couple of days and then up to Reading on Sat for do - popping in to Mum's on way. Tell H to use the fish he catches as bait for a bigger fish. Keep paddling x x

Where was yesterday's entry?
Yesterday afternoon I sat down at my desk with my lunch and opened up your blog in eager anticipation for the latest update... only to find there wasn't one! Later that day, sitting at the dinner table with mum she said 'Rosie didn't do her blog today!' She was very disappointed - seeing as there was no blog to help her procrastinate, she actually had to mark some books! We are all living vicariously through you and your boating adventure!
