After they'd been shut in a few days, I let them out an hour before dusk. They weren't a bit nervous, and bustled about, scratching the ground and looking dead busy. One is named "Explorer" as she finds her way all over the place .......and luckily home again too. Another is Droopy, as she has a droopy wing. Since the first evening they've been out all the time, and they range pretty freely. Though I think there'll be a fence once they find my veg patch! Luckily we don't have insulation handy for them to get at Uncle George.
