a week in Corwall

we chose the hottest week of the summer to spend a few days by the sea in cornwall. It was lovely. We went with friends and stayed in a caravan in the sand dunes. The weather was so good that we did little except amble about and swim in the sea. The coast is lovely there, cliffs and sand. Years ago, it was a tin mining centre, so there are many old chimneys on the cliffs.

truro cathedral
Lynda rang the cathedral bells on Sunday morning. you have to know how to do it of course, she has been ringing for years.

on the ferry
we sailed down the estuary from Truro to Falmouth, beautiful scenery.

Hello Carrie and Alex what lovely weather and places as shown on your holiday snaps! How was Alex the Chef perhaps this is his calling!! Weather here in NZ getting warmer and sunny- lots of spring planting in the veggie patch. you were so lucky with the weather !! we have been there and the sea is so clear. truro lovely place i bought a painting there some years ago.
