Helensburgh is the entry point for the John Muir Way and to the west of Glasgow along the River Clyde. Today's segment is the first 9 miles of 134 and I am taking time to sit on the bench and contemplate a wee while. From here the River Clyde spills out into the Irish Sea and then crosses the Atlantic, not much changed from when Muir left here as a lad with his family and began the adventure that created America's national parks. Yesterday was his birthday and today is Earth Day and the march for science. This is my wee march so let's get cracking!
