Since I have some more time left on the computer, I'll describe a couple of incidents in Belfast.

On the second night, the Australians and I were hanging out in the T.V. lounge, when a guy we later learned was a refugee from the Sudan walked in. The thing we soon found out that was a problem was he was drunk and also drugged out. No violence broke out, fortunately, but he was being loud, arguing and smoking in the room (not allowed). He was brought to his bed by security much to our delight. Fortunately, one of the Australians is also the night porter at the hostel.

The other incident was yesterday, we were told by our tour bus driver Belfast's centre was going to be shut down due to a demonstration. We also later learned a couple of bomb threats were phoned in but turned out to be hoaxes, so nothing ended up happening with the centre. Belfast is a very quiet city, it's a nice change of pace from the tourist areas.
