15 June 2014 The Southwold campsite is located adjacent to the Town’s harbour on the mouth of the River Blyth. In the morning we crossed the river and had a pleasant stroll through Wlberswick, the village on the other side.
Then it was the start of our drive inland. We first went through the villages of Blythbugh and Wenhaston where Wendy had memories of a cycling holiday she had with Vivian over 50 years ago. Blythburgh has a huge church for a small village and we were privileged to be able to listen to a pianist and some singers rehearsing for a concert they were giving that evening as part of the Aldeburgh Festival.
We continued our journey and stayed the night at the Caravan and Camping Club site in the Thetford Forest.
