Well we made it safe and sound! The plane ride was long but good, and for the record Jo and I have lasted a day without a fight!! (This is a very big deal!) We arrived at 6:15am in Gatwick and then was on our way to Reading with Helen and Michael. After a bite to eat we set out with Helen to check out the Abbey Ruins here in Reading, and then we stopped off at the shopping mall (so many shoes!) At about noon we both powered out and had to come back to for a nap... I think we lasted pretty good for our first day! We have started to plan out everything that we want to see, and there is quite the list of places that we want to go and things that we want to see - I'm thinking it might take a couple trips to get it all in! We are taking it easy for the rest of the evening and hoping that our clocks are right on time when we wake up tomorrow - there is just no time to waste!
We are having a great time so far! And tomorrow we will be off to see more 😊
