Beatles 1
John is shorter in real life.. And more metallic Yeah Baby, yeah!
Were off to Liverpool and the Beatles Museum led by our trusty Tom-Tom Navigator (GPS thingumy).
Luckily for me, (as I like tunnels so much), Tom-Tom led us under the Mersey river in a tunnel.
Unluckily, it was:
A) The complete wrong direction
B) £1.30 once you reached the other side.
To say that we were a bit angry with Tom-Tom when, as soon as we paid our tunnel toll, it told us to go back under the river in the tunnel and pay again is an understatement.
Note to self: Bellowing at Tom-Tom doesn't help, he just gets more polite, but no more accurate.
We finally found the Beatles museum after asking a real-life person directions (It was on the Albert Docks)
The Doorman to the museum was a John Lennon lookalike which was quite funny.
We wern't allowed to take photos inside so not much to show you.
My favourite things were the recreation of the Cavern and John Lennon's real glasses (worth a million pounds!!)
Afterwards, we walked down Matthew Street and went to the real Cavern Club, (which was actually a rebuild, but with all the original
Beatles 2
Original Cavern Club Stage bricks in the same location.
Thanks for the Beatles CD for my Birthday, we listened to it all the way up and down the M6. (interrupted at times by Tom-Tom)
I give the Beatles museum two enthusiastic thumbs up.
