Good afternoon,

This travelling lark is dead easy. We were picked up in an executive limo (VW golf) from our doorstep and transported over 220 miles down South to a place called Locks Heath. Seems interesting enough and the natives seem reasonably friendly. We are staying with a local tribe so we have free accomodation and it seems ok, although they could perhaps turn the heating up a little.

The head of the local tribe is a judge and works in a local courthouse and his wife is fond of red wine and various other forms of alcohol. In that sense, it seems like home for Mrs Deane. They have two kids, one called Student and one called Tall Liz. We'll probably stay for a few days before moving on for Christmas elsewhere.

One thing though, I can't get over a big sense of loss at not having a regular 9-5 job to fill my day.

Anyway, must dash, off to Halfords and Argos...

Lowly hostel setting
Just wondering where that fantastic hostel is - I would love to spend some time there - it looks so warm and welcoming. Home from home, in fact!
