2 palaces in 1day=☺️!! Kensington Palace had room after room of tapestries & paintings but Buckingham Palace was even more luxurious with so many crystal chandeliers & gold leaf. We saw an exhibit of clothes from the 50's-90's that Queen Elizabeth, her sister Margaret, & Princess Diana Wore. There was also an exhibit of toys, clothes, & film clips of Elizabeth & Margaret growing up in Buckingham Palace. We happened upon a woman at Kensington who was driving a golf cart & gave us a mini-tour of the grounds at Kensington, then took us to Buckingham. She was a volunteer who was so delightful - when we got to Buckingham, the lines were amazing & we already had our tickets - the tourists queued up at Buckingham went on forever - we waited in line for 90 minutes before we got into the palace. We have aching feet but we are still excited for tomorrow - HIGHCLERE (aka Downton Abbey) here we come!!!!
