Another day, another Castle......today we visited Windsor Castle and it did not disappoint. Such opulence!! It was incredible - bigger than we thought it would be. Its roots go back to William the Conqueror and has been home to British Royalty for over 900 years. The State Apartments are crammed with treasures - and we loved Queen Mary's doll house - made in 1923 with a scale of 1:12. We also saw St George's Chapel where Prince Charles married Camilla and Henry the Eighth is buried. Unfortunately, they do not allow tourists to take photos on the inside. After lunch, we returned to our bus & came into London to a fabulous hotel - The Royal Horseguards - by far the best hotel on our tour. This hotel was home to the British Secret Service during World War I.
