Christine celebrated her 11th birthday yesterday in grand style. We had a special birthday breakfast of pancakes etc, and in the afternoon we went to Hamley's to get a "Build a bear" before having an Indian banquet in the evening and a marks and Spenser's Pooh Bear cake..yum. She got the Sims which she had requested as her present.

Hamleys is a 4 story toy store on Regent Street (Piccadilly) where you could spend hours. It is any kids dream. Lots to touch, look at, play and watch. Christine chose to bring in her own donkey that I bought her from the London Zoo and dressed her up as an ice-skater. She is really cute.

Then on Saturday we went to watch Mary Poppins at the West End. We bought them on Lastminute.com the week before and picked them up an hour before the show. It was a wonderful show, so full of energy and fun to watch. Lauren did fall asleep a bit towards the end..it finished around 11!
