It's amazing what people will buy!
We decided to kill 2 birds with one stone by selling off our junk to reduce the amount we need to ship to Oz, and also to raise funds for our backpacking adventure.

Chose a local car boot sale at a school in Ealing Broadway, very forgiving times (10am to 2pm, set-up from 8am) unlike a lot of car boot sales where you turn up at the break of dawn it seems.

Had lots of fun and sold off lots of stuff. Surprisingly one of the best sellers was a bowl filled with the shampoo/body lotion/soaps that you get from hotels. We priced it at 50p each, and they sold like hotcakes (at least 20 of the things!). I felt a bit bad when someone bought 5 quid worth, because I know that the shampoo quality is rubbish (and I was selling some full-size good-quality shampoo for 2 quid) but you know what they say about one man's trash!
