Thankfully the weather was good when we got up but as soon as we set off the heavens opened. It continued to rain for most of the day. We were pleasently surprised how easy it was to enter London on a bike. We started off on the A4 and when we got closer we picked up one of the cycle routes which took us to the Tower of London where we were staying with our friends, Steve & Julie. We had a great time at the Tower and it was nice to sleep in a proper bed for a change - the first time in a week. Steve & Julie were the perfect hosts and we are very greatful to them both. Joy would like to say a special thanks to Steve for the best G&T she has ever tasted and allowing her to watch the Wimbledon finals all night.
