Big BenBig BenBig Ben

this is us sitting across from a very nice view. and of course big ben.
Well this is our last day in the big City of London. We've seen a lot since we got here. We arrived last friday and met up with alex's cousin Katie. We got in and started drinking right away, haha. There is a nice little pub around the corner called Black sheep. We stopped in there for a few, but thats expected of us. Katie turned out to be a good travel guide. she took us out on Saturday and we saw a shit load of bridges, haha. And you know the funniest thing... I would have to say that the famous "London bridge" was by far the most boring. Its a plain old bridge... I wasn't impressed. the tower bridge on the other hand was very nice. It is just as it sounds, a bridge with two towers on it. And very antique looking. We walked around and saw the parliment buildings. Big ben (the famous clock) is very impressing. Alex ad I got a nice pic with it in the background. I will add on here for you guys to see. Near the end of the day we hopped on a tour boat and took it over to Greenwich.

The london eye is huge, unfortuanly we never got a chance to ride on it. It takes 30 minutes just to get all the way around on it.
there wsn't very much there so we just grabbed some beers and headed back home. On sunday we got up nice and early to see what is called "the changing of the guards". That was interesting to see. The Queen was apparently in house, and what they do is literally change the guards who patrol the yard. I know it sounds rather boring, but they make a ceremony out of it... so I was kind of impressed. I feel bad for the guys who stand on guard tho. Its just like in the movies, you can harass the shit out of them and they dont even look at you haha. And people are all crowding around to get pictures. I would definitely never make it as one of these guys... I would end up snapping and hitting someone. The following Monday and Tuesday was more relaxing days. We just went down town into the markets and looked around. Im telling you now though, I would never be able to live in London. it is rediculously busy. the people here are very ignorant and I can't stand people with no manors. I enjoyed the visit but I will be happy to
Bombs awayBombs awayBombs away

this was a gift from Egypt after WWI. If you look closly you will see scars on the arm of it. This was Caused during WWII by a bomb that a german bomber dropped. Scraps from the bomb pierced through the skin of the statue.
be back to Bristol. Its a little more of a "Brent" kind of Pace. When we get back I think the job hunt will begin. Money has been flowing very quickly, and thats not the best feeling. the exchange is very annoying, mostly because its hard to keep on top of how much it really is. Its close to 2.5 Canadian Dollars to 1 pound. Anything you consider cheap really isnt and it all adds up very quickly. Anyways, I hope all is well back home. have a good one people. I have to start getting ready for the long 3 hour trip back to Bristol. Laaater people.
