On the way he would pass such symbolic scenes as new lambs gambolling and birds nesting. Well as I wander along the swathed ... Read Full Entry

Spring means lambs - we even saw a ewe giving birth. Weird looking at sheep like tourists - not locals.

Our country-side jaunt took us back to the delicately named Lower Slaughter, where Rosemarie & I had visited nearly 4 years earlier.

One thing we found very quickly is that English 'country walks' were more strolls down country lanes - the kind of thing your Grandma could do in a wheel chair. IAbit more gentle than back home.

I didn't realise that my dress blended in so well. We were heading off to dinner at a really nice pub in the oddly named village of Guiting Power - pronounced 'Geeting Poor'. Confused me for a while. Dinner was great, however our lack of English sport knowlegde (call either snooker or darts sport?) meant we failed to win th pub quiz that night. Good thing the food was good - as was the company. Brendon, Paloma & I ended up chatting to those at the next table 'til 2 in the morning.

Brendon's so tired from keeping up with the girls all weekend, that we come out of (sighteseeing in) the Church at Burford to find him asleep on the bench. I could think of worse places to be.
