Fungus among us
The fruits of thismorning's labour Good day.
Got up and went round the sheep w/ grandad which was fruitful...ended up picking more mushrooms than sheep watching!
I went to Rye thisaft and began what's promising to be a very dedicated postcard dedication to some folks back home...after many years of coming here on my own, it's nice that I can find my way around Rye, and not look QUITE so touristy.
Spent the majority of the afternoon on the river Rother with my uncle, hanging out on his wee boat 'Moon Wind'. We sailed down about an hour (past many things including a dead bloated ewe in the water), picked up his friend Charlie and then moored and walked across a field to a pub in Newenden.
Had the most beautiful sunset on the way back, even if it was chilly enough to warrant several layers. Much wildlife, mostly birds. Tons of great blue herons, swans, ducks....in some ways not unlike being on the Grand River in Ontario ; )
I'm pretty good at the moment as far as missing everyone goes...it helps that I'm in a single bed....*sigh*
