I've always wanted to go to Lewes Bonfire. It's one of the best known, probably the best known bonfire/fireworks night in the south of England. So when my dad told me he was helping out Lewes Borough Band, I jumped at the chance of going as well.

Mum and me arrived in Lewes around 5.30pm, to the police closing the roads surround the town, and managed to park the car in a road on the outskirts of the town (which turns out to be not far from the Lewes Borough Bonfire site).

We wandered into the town to try and find where the Borough Band was starting out from, but got a bit lost and found two other processions instead.

Eventually we found the YMCA where the band and society had started from, and kept returning to as we found out.

Would have liked to stay to watch the fireworks, but we decided to leave early as it was still raining a lot.
