Yesterday we drove up to Cambridge for the day. The drive took around 2 hours and we got to see miles of english landscape and forests. The day was quite foggy, which added to the mystery and old-worldly feel of Cambridge. We dove pass the impressive entrances of Trinity and Kings College and witnessed the hundreds of students as they biked their way around the campus. We crossed the college's river and explored through the many old buildings and even saw students as they graduated in a Kings College building.
We then walked around the streets of Cambridge and explored the many shops and lane-ways. The campus is like a mini city, with its own Marks and Spencers, H&M, Boots and many other department stores and restaurants.
At the end of Trinity street we found the Cambridge Press House Bookshop. Cambridge Press is the oldest Press house in the world and the bookshop was amazing! It was two stories and housed thousand of book published by Cambridge on every topic imaginable. I bought The Cambridge Guild to Sigmund Freud and decided it was my favorite bookstore ever.
We went to the Fudge Kitchen which has been making fudge since 1830 and claims to be the best in the world. After trying Jim's Original and Choc Mint - it definitely was the best I've ever had.
Cambridge was such an amazing place to visit. With the breath taking grounds, intriguing and busy street life and old college feel I think it was one of my favourite places in the world. I would love to go to uni there!
