Bri & Will
On our way out of the house... Will and I spent our afternoon yesterday walking around town doing some shopping. We finally got our home phone and internet set up and we also bought ourselves a mobile. So, anyone who ever wants to call us can do so! We finally took some pictures of the town where we live. Our house is within walking distance of anything we need (bus and train station, food stores, shopping centres, restaurants, etc.). At the end of our street is a bridge that crosses a canal. On the other side of the canal is the main square where most things are located. We have put pictures in our Gallery for you to look at! Believe it or not, there is a pub in the square called The Slug and Lettuce. Such a funny name if you ask me! There is a picture in the gallery if you want proof!
After a couple of weeks of settling in and waiting for our bank accounts and other things to be set up, our house finally made it out for a fun night on the town! The five of us started our night off by getting ready to go out for dinner at a
Walking around town
On our way to Chicago Rock Cafe. It was a beautiful night! restaurant called Pad Thai. Another girl that two of our house mates work with joined us as well. She's Canadian too! (from Ottawa) We were at the restaurant for 3 hours and the food was fantastic! We ordered a couple bottles of wine and had some nice conversation. Will had hot and sour soup with musrooms followed by duck stir fry. I had a very tasty dish of stir fried rice, pineapple, peppers, other vegetables, and chicken. Soooo good! After dinner we ventured to a dance club/pub called Chicago Rock Cafe. The place was packed! The DJ wasn't very good though. He kept talking so much during every song! Overall the music was pretty good and we got to bust a few moves and show them how Canadians and Australians can tear up the floor! 😊 Next weekend we might check out a couple of live bands in the square at another pub. We posted some more pictures of our night out in our Gallery.
We'll leave it at that for this week. Thank you to everyone who has been sending us messages and/or leaving us comments. We love reading them! We'll try to post something new again next
