We left France and went to the home of chocolate, Switzerland. We had our very last éclair, before entering the Swiss country. Our new campsite is in Lausanne, and close to a lovely lake. It’s weird because every day I have found something in the lake. I have found a plastic hermit crab that has a dart-board on its shell and a teapot. I have tried some Swiss chocolate. The title is true. No offence Cadbury, you’re good, but nothing compared to the Swiss Chocolate.
I should tell you that Lausanne is close to the Swiss Alps. So, of cause, we went. Before I went to the Alps, I had only been to the snow once, and in my opinion, it wasn’t too good. This snow was the real deal. We didn’t have gloves, but I still managed to throw snowballs. One went down dads neck! The snow was so soft. There was a huge toboggan coaster, that I rode twice. The first time was with breaks, the second time without. Ok, I will admit I did use them. My brother didn’t. You are supposed to keep 25m from the toboggan in front of you. He only kept 5m
A gaint Beaver
I haven't got a clue why I put this photo on? from my toboggan.
We also went on a dog sled ride. It was so much fun, and it was impressive when the sled lady said a word and all the huskies stopped. They looked at us as we took a photo with the look in their eyes saying “ Come on, get a move on!” The sled lady said another word, and they were off. After the sled ride, we got to pat the huskies. They are so friendly! I saw one pee in the snow. NEVER eat yellow snow!
We made a mini snowman. To give him an Aussie flavour, we put sunnies on him, and called him Sonny. After the snow, we travelled to a new campsite.
The next day in Tasch, after travelling again, I made a bet with my parents. If I pulled out my tooth that day, I would get a whole block of lovely Swiss chocolate. I succeeded. Yum! Did I mention that Swiss chocolate is alot better than Cadbury? Oh, hold on, I think I did.
We were supposed to go to the snow again the next day. We didn’t. The weather was terrible. We could have gone
half way up, but we decided to do it all in one day. Instead, we all went to the shop and bought….. Swiss Army Knives! Mine has:
. 2 sorts of knives
. Scissors
. 2 Screw Drivers
. A Magnifying Glass
. A Can opener
. 2 Bottle Openers
. Corkscrew
. De-hooker
. Tweezers
. Toothpick
. Some other thing…

It is so awesome. They engrave your name on it for free! We had a good look round town and went back to our campsite.
The next day, we went to the mountains. We took multiple Cable Cars up because the direct route one wasn’t working. The view was amazing. We saw the snow on the mountains. The snow was really soft. Just as soft as the snow last time. We looked at the view for a while, then we went into an ice-cave. It was so beautiful. Inside, it had ice sculptures. There were 2 deer, a buddha and something else. On the buddha, people had thrown money. We exited the ice-cave, we went down the mountain. Luckily, the cable car was fixed so we could go down a lot easier. We
So Friendly
I guess the title explains it all. got down and travelled back to Tasch on the train.
The day after, Dad ran the Zermatt Marathon. 42km. Phew! We went to the end of the race to see Dad cross the finishing line. He looked so puffed. He said he’d never had so much sugary smoosh in his entire life. Good on ya Dad!
Our next stop was Grindelwald. On the way, we saw an ice-cave. We went inside. It was really big. The walls were a nice blue colour. Of course, they were still cold though. We also saw a Glacier. It started melting in 1996.
Curse Global Warming! We arrived at Grindelwald, and we were greeted by rain. Some sun would be nice.
Lucerne was our next stop. We arrived and for our first day we rested. On the next day, we went for a huge walk. We went to a shop and bought heaps of Swiss Army Knives for family and friends and walked round town. We got an ice-cream along the way. We went and saw The Lion Monument. It is a memorial for all the people that died in the war. It is a really well made statue. It was a
