After a quick trip home for some laundry, Olympic action and quality time with friends and family, we landed in Zurich with bikes in boxes. Our fine Swiss hosts opened their home to us (dankeschon Alex, Jessica und Nadia) as we planned the next leg of our trip. The week in Zurich was a great sampler of all things Swiss, including fine pastries, yummy cheese, great chocolate and timely precision. Zurich is a great place to wander around with a beautiful lake, classic European architecture and mountain ridges with clear views of the Alps.

Zurich is also home to the ZSC Lions who were in a tense playoff series with their local rivals Zug. The game featured intense fans with a talent for whistling. The top scorers on both teams wore special yellow jerseys, helmets with flame decals and had "Top Scorer" plastered across their backs. Talk about being a target!
