We were impressed with picturesque Albarracin when we strolled around the town and its walls this morning. It’s situated on a ridge surrounded by a U bend of the Rio Guadalavier. Our tour had an excellent finish with a delicious tapas lunch at a bar in the main square.
In the afternoon we drove another 175k westward through the dry rugged El Maestrazgo mountains. We were surprised that such a large desolate are exists in Europe.
Our overnight stop was at a wonderful camper stop with superb views of another walled town with a castle, Morella.
