Geo: 38.1089, -0.655788Last Saturday in Javea was very much a socialising day, when the weather was overcast, cooler than of late, and showery.In the afternoon, Jan and Ria, the Dutch couple came to us for a drink and snacks since they intended to leave and move south the following day (Sunday). We spent an enjoyable couple of hours discussing various topics, obviously caravanning and our current respective itineraries, food, wine, but also David and Jan share hands-on experience of motor sport but in different areas. We have enjoyed their company so have exchanged emails to keep in touch with each others travels. Ended up in togs hoops bar for drinks and we had nice breakfast on seafront in glorious sunshine this morning Walk through market as Tomoz is labour day and stroll to the marina bug massive thunderclouds caught us as we almost began walk back along beach to see the houses being destroyed by the sea. Location at Hondon de las Nieves, 30 mins from Alicante. I know that you like to keep up with my travels and this is a great way to share some of my photos… so here I am just back from 10 days in Spain. This was a visit to my cousin, Marilyn, and her husband Terry. They moved to Spain 18 months ago and live in a small urbanisation in an agricultural mountain valley between 2 villages – Hondon de las Nieves and Frailes. Surrounded by fields of artichokes, vines, almond trees and olives - it is a lovely place. Only 30 mins from Alicante and the coast it still feels like real Spain being far enough away from the massive developments by the sea.
