We returned home to Tenerife today after a quick 2 day visit back to the UK. We had a few mundane things gathering up that needed sorting.
Managed to collect our abandoned belongings from the old neighbours and sort out some other UK bits and pieces.
We even purchased 2 new left hand drive head lamps for our new car and a universal bulb kit. This means we have absolutely everything now for legal driving in Tenerife. In spring, driving laws change over here. All British cars will be required to have their insurance details recorded on the Motor Insurers Database, even those on English plates with Insurance from mainland Spain. The majority are not as most drive over here without proper insurance cover.
Saw George’s Mum who looks to have recovered well from her recent illness.
Glad you UK residents are enjoying our blog writing.
Theresa visited the doctor and got medication till the end of July which will enable us to get to Peter Wards 50th birthday party. George is taking so much less medication now, he did not need any top up. Some of his aches and pains have rather mysteriously just simply disappeared, this is very good news. However, he did have a temporary filling at the dentist.
Thanks to Kim and Keith for putting us up. We really did enjoy this.
Thanks also our landlord for collecting us from the airport. Not sure we would have made it up the hill with all the extra bags.
Lunch on the balcony today. We have a decent set of binoculars. Tenerife had an unusual visitor here today in the form of jumbo jet. This is very out of place. Lovely being back home in the Canaries.
