Most of our winter friends have left Mojacar now for their summer life, which is too bad because we discovered the 2nd annual Ruta De La Tapa in Garrucha!! What a treat, 49 different Tapa bars and restaurants have joined in to provide a variety of tasty treats. We recieved a map with a list of participating restaurants and what they were featuring so we could pick and choose the ones we wanted to try, comes with a drink including a beer, wine or soft drink( we ordered water) all for 3 euro. Once the 10 boxes have been stamped by the tapa bars , you can vote for your favorite tapas and enter for a cruise trip for 2. Wow! I have been to many markets over the years and this by far is one of the best markets in Europe! Everything you could possible want or need can be found at Garrucha Market, every Friday morning. Get there early or late, parking is a bit tricky, but usually you can find a spot down by the water, in the winter it is not so hard as the beach is available for parking. What eles can I say, the pictures say it all. Not that this is the only Market, it was the closest by far. There is one also in Vera on Saturdays and also many of the other neighbouring villages.
