After two very enjoyable weeks in Croatia, we drove north on winding minor roads through attractive forested hills and went into Slovenia, our 10th and last different Country on this trip.
Our first visit was to Lake Cerknica, Europe’s largest intermittent body of water. The lake has a permeable limestone bed and during the summer the water percolates through many sink holes and dries up.
There were no campsites in the area so we moved on and stayed in Postojna
