We went up a hill after getting keys from somebody. It was very pretty. We did a lot of videos and pictures. We went up a clock tower. We tried to hurry down before the bells did not ring, but they did. We went to a park and I saw a lot of snow and jumped in it. I got wet and daddy brought everything but socks so I had to use my gloves on my feet. - Sofia

A couple hours and we arrived in Sibiu. This was a really cool city and we stayed right in the middle of the old town at the Old Town Hostel right in the middle of one of the big squares. We stayed there for 2 nights. We checked out the old town area when we arrived and had a lot of fun. We took a lot of pictures of ourselves in a mirrror, I had more hot chocolate, and we played games in the main square.

Our full day there was sooo much fun. We started off in the small town of Cisnaudiora. Our plan was to go to a 12th century church that was on top of a hill.

When we got to the gate it was closed and locked, but there was a note. Luckily, Romanian is close to Italian and Portuguese, and daddy understood that he had to call a number or go to a house to get the key. So he called and within 10 minutes a woman came with a bunch of keys. She gave it to us and told it to put it in another houses mail box after we were done.

So we unlocked the gate and walked up to the top of the hill where there was a locked door. I had so much fun shooting videos. From opening the doors to the wall surrounding the church as well as the church door, it was so cool to not know what to expect.

After doing some videos inside the church - such as the "girl who loved flowers" and the "scientist" it was time to go outside to do more videos "Jack and Jill", "the Well" and "snow ball fight"....I had so much fun. I kept wanting to do more. However, after an hours or so up there it was time to go down. So I locked the church door, the door to the wall surrounding the church grounds and the gate at the bottom of the hill.

Our next stop was the small town of Cisnadie a couple Kilometers away. We wanted to go into their cool fortified church and up the bell tower. When we arrived there was a note to knock on a door upstairs to find someone who has the key. Nobody was there. We then saw somebody and asked if he had the key, and he told us he did not, but one of the men working outside the church did. So we found him, and he let us in the church and in the door to the bell tower. It was sooo cool. It was dark, and so many interesting stairs. We got to the place where the huge bells where and daddy realized it was almost noon. So we continued up, took some pics, and then headed down. We almost made it down before 12, but we didnt. It was pretty loud but cool.

The next stop was the Museum of Traditional Folk Civilisation. We first ate lunch at their restaurant. I had another schnitzel and then my favorite desert....Papanasi.

We then checked out the outdoor musuem which was basically a bunch of interesting old houses from all over Romania. They have a lot of activities in the warmer months, but we were there in the Winter, so I instead played in the snow. After a couple hours I got really wet and daddy decided to changed me before gong home. He brought a spare of clean clothes, except forgot socks. Soooooo I used a clean pair of mittens on my feet. Daddy carried me to the car. I laughed the whole way there. He also carried me from the car to the hotel. He will never forget socks again.

We were so tired from our full days that both nites at the hostel, we stayed in and ordered pizza. I had fun playing games with daddy and playing on my ipad. Daddy enjoyed buying wine and having some with the owner of the hostel and others. We had a really cool big room in the hostel.

I had a lot of fun in Sibui, but it was time to move on to see Dracula's "Real" castle.

And your adventure continues
It is amazing how fast she is growing up. I feel like we have watched it happen. I'll bet she'll grow up to be an ambassador to some foreign land....except none of them will be foreign to her. Love the Dracula pose. Happy travels.
