Finally we were going to see the North Cape.

In contrast to what most people think, the North Cape (Nordkapp) is not the northernmost point of Europe. In fact, when you are heading to the North Cape, you have the possibility to do an 18km round trip hike to Knivskjelodden, which is situated farther north. I've heard that you can even get a kind of certificate when you succesfully complete the hike. For us, with my wife pregnant, the hike was unfortunately not an option...

To reach the North Cape, you have to pay a toll. This allows you to stay there two days. It seemed to me that a lot of camping cars took advantage of this. The road was significant more crowded than the ones we passed the days before.

At the North Cape itself, there is a building with inside a souvenir shop (of course!). But you can als find there a small exhibition about the region, a cafetaria, post office,...
