Tromso, some 350km north and within the Arctic Circle, was a destination that was decided pretty late on as we were eagerly searching for trips in an attempt to catch the Northern Lights. Wow!
This blog is reminding me that Tromso is on my list of places I want to go to. It won't be this year though, because this year I am off to the Andaman Islands, India. - I want to see both the northern lights and the midnight sun. I suppose, they happen at opposite times of the year though?, so I would need to go twice.
