today is the last full day of contiki 😞 i can't believe it's over and i also can't believe it's only been 2 weeks. i feel like i've known all the people on the tour for so much longer, but no. from munich sightseeing afternoon we wen't to the beerhall for dinner. it was lots of fun, they had 5 german girls doing folk dancing and ringing bells of some sort. the boys loved it of course. after dinner we decided to go out on the town, rather than just to a bar as usual, with only our group to socialise with. interesting trip in there!!! some people got a bit stuck into the beer and there were about 35 of us going in on the train to the city. we didn't all have time to buy a ticket (i did though) and we jumped on the train - of course there were inspectors!! they were so nice though. we got off at the next stop and they helped us buy the right tickets, rather than giving 20 people 40 euro fines. i think they were pretty happy to get rid of us once we hopped off though. anyway, we eventually got to a nightclub after a lot of laughing. it was so fun. it was a massive warehouse and they played awesome music. it wasn't packed so we had heaps of room to do our thing!! there were 5 of us left at the end and we got home after a lot more laughing - trying to figure out where we lived!! the next morning we left munich and went to st goar. a very nice little region in the rhine valley. wen't to a cuckoo clock and teddy bear shop, had dinner in the pub, then had a wine tasting demonstration. we had a quiet night back at the hotel that night - no bar!! yay! very relaxing, hanging out in the lounge room just chatting. everyone was pretty exhausted. yesterday, left st goar to come to amsterdam. had a cheese tasting session and clog demonstration on the way. clogs are so cool. the guy demonstrating was really funny and kept bagging the belgians. we also went for a bike ride and saw a dijk and a windmill. we all loved it - finally some exercise!! (yes, i loved doing exercise!!) today is a sightseeing day. been to the van gogh museum this morning and i'll go to anne frank's house and a flower market this arvo. lots of people have gone to the coffee shops so i'm now on my own. it's good to do some things alone. tonight we're having a group dinner at this place called the sea palace. it's a restaurant that sits out on the water. like smorgy's at geelong, i suppose. ok, love you. bye bye

Go Lissy
Hey Lis, thought you and I were similar, visiting all these beer halls, pubs, clubs..... Grant and I are planning a trip to Thailand at the moment, probably go in the next couple of months. Maybe June for my birthday. Joined the gym really enjoying it, did Yoga this morning so feel very nice and relaxed - wonder how long it is going to last. Having dinner at Nai's tomorrow night for her birthday as she has the Anglesea Ball on Friday (if you get a chance give us a call so we can all have a quick chat to you) Had a review yesterday went very well - very happy with my work and got another promotion. Lots happening (finally being rewarded for all the OT i've been doing). Anyway chicken, take care of yourself. Keep up the good work and have a ball. What's next on the agenda after the whirlwind Contiki Tour? Love you lots Cath - Catherine
