bonjourno!
it is 11pm italy time (i think). chris and i got into the hostel around 6pm-stinky, seaty, hungry and tirrrrrrred. our hostel is gorgeous and the ppl are great, they helped us plan our next two days here. they gave us a bottle of red wine, marched us up like 4 flights of sketch stairs, and then to our room-what a sigh of relief! full private bathroom (with a poo flush and a pee flush, chris didnàt really understand when i told him)room is clean, italian, queen bed- i donàt think it can get better than this! no hotel could beat this. when we got to our room after our travel planning with elizabeth from austria it was 6:20, we showered and changed- how grande! chris wanted to lie down for 30min before going to dinner, i proceeded to read our italian phrase book and also fell asleep-and here i am now much past dinner, but clean and warm. we are off to the vatican for a visit with the pope topmorrow! i think he is probably very excited to meet me and chris. chris is still sleeping and iàm with no bra with some hot bed head, but i must let you canadians know wes safe 😊

p.s. our room has the super big open-uppy windows with no screen that looks out onto the street of vespas and crazy taxi drivers. it is unreal i tell yah

i am sure will write tomorrow with a longer, detailed post once he is rested.

I'm glad you're safe. How in the name of Moses did you get a private room in a hostel?! I'm with Chris, confused. A poo and pee flush? Those crazy Romans. Stay safe and tell the pope Middlemiss says "What up?"

And you will take the place by storm...as soon as Chris has a nap. You'll have to eplain the flush issue to me later...sounds intriging. Glad you've arrived and are settling. The bottle of red wine will be a good start!!! Give my best to the Pope (LOL) have him give me a call I"ve got a theology exam coming up!!!!
