This morning we arose early to hit the awesome breakfast buffet and try to get out to the square for sunrise but we missed that goal by a little bit...haha. Today we spent the day going inside a few places and the first stop was Doges Palace, which we were like the 6th people in line. The palace was so huge and elaborate it took us a good two hours or more to get through it all. No pictures are allowed inside the palace to show you all the exquisite artwork, colors, gold, armory, etc. but we did get a few inside the courtyard area and in the prison area. Next up was going inside and to the top of the campanile. the views from there were stunning looking out over the city as well as out over the water.

After the campanile, we embarked on a long journey across the city to visit several places such as the Rialto Bridge, Santa Maria Gloriosa Dei Frari (which we went inside and it was a gorgeous church) and also Scuola Grande Di San Marco. Along the journey we managed to find more stuff to buy for me to lug around, thanks

Crystal, and also grabbed more diviola pizza and drinks for lunch at a small restaurant down a quiet street.

After our sightseeing and shopping we headed back to the hotel for a one last trip happy hour in the room next to ours. we broke out our bottle of Prosecco which was autographed by the wine maker himself. After we partied and finished off the bottle we made the mistake of leaving it sit on table next to the TV and the damn maid threw it out when they came to do the turn down service. Good thing we each bought a smaller bottle which is also signed and stashed in our snowboard board to get back to the states safely :-) The whole club then headed off for our survivors dinner where we each were allotted a certain amount to spend on our meal. I ended up having some pasta fagioli (not same stuff as olive garden) and a veal cutlet, Crystal had chicken and we all had ALOT of red and white wine. After enjoying our meal, a lot of laughs and fun we headed back to the hotel but enjoyed a nice leisurely stroll. We stopped

for some gelato and I became a fan of the guy selling to us b/c my sweatshirt as he kept calling me cubix rube (since my sweatshirt looks like a rubix cube). after getting our dessert, Crystal did some glove modeling, then we past a burger king and the theater on the way back. What a nice and relaxing last day in Venice.
