crystal getting ready to head off to veniceWe were up at the crack of dawn and boarding a bus to head back to the Venice airport. This was for two reasons, One being to check some of our large luggage and two is to catch the water taxi into the city. The boat ride was rather nice and pretty smooth. We encountered some gorgeous views as we approached the city and even more so as we cruised down the grand canal to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel we unloaded and labeled all of our luggage with our room number and then had about an hour to waste so we quickly headed out on the city. We were a 10 minute walk from the San Marco Piazza so that's where we went. I snapped off a ton of pictures and then we headed back to the hotel and hit a souvenir store along the way grabbing some shot glasses and Crystal got some scarves.
Once back to the hotel we were able to get into our room so we did that quickly before we rejoined the group in the lobby to embark on a guided walking tour. The walking tour was pretty informative and even took us

crystal showing off her new rings, one i bought and one she stole from me ;) down back alleys and streets to see some things we never would've stumbled upon on our own, such as the outdoor spiral staircase. The tour ended at the San Marco Piazza which we went inside for a look and its absolutely beautiful, sorry no pics allowed inside the church.
After the tour we were on our own again and we were hungry so we tried to eat at the newly opened Hard Rock Cafe, but to our disappointment the restaurant wasn't opened yet just the store was. So we trucked on and found a quaint little pizza joint and had some more diviola pizza (spicy salami). Once we got our bellies full we continued our journey trying to knock out as much "touristy" stuff as possible. Needless to say we saw ALOT!! We saw a lot of churches, amazing architecture, went into one museum and saw some old instruments and pretty much walked all over town conquering the city. Crystal had a plan, and drug me way way away from the hotel to supposedly see a church yet she wanted ice cream from one of the top 10 places recommended to get some at Gelati Nico. Fortunately for her

crystal and i on the bus headin to airport that stuff was GOOOOOOD! As the sun quickly set on us we were heading back after swinging by Harry's Bar and grabbing some Bellini's. After a stop at Harry's we found a nice place to eat dinner, then headed back to the hotel to drink the bottle of Bellini we bought early in the day and relax to some Italian television, who knew crocodile dundee in Italian was so entertaining
