Day 10 Saturday 24th December

On route to Rome today, we stopped at an Italian Café for morning tea where we had coffee and snacks and bought a fresh sandwich for lunch. We later stopped at Assisi where we viewed the church of Frances of Assisi. We also had time to explore this medieval historical village which overlooked the Italian countryside. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the view due to the fog.

Tonight we had a bus tour of Rome by night with our guide pointing out all of the most famous buildings. We then had time to walk down the Spanish Steps and admire the magnificent Trevi Fountain, before heading to a restaurant for our four course Christmas Eve dinner.
