Cristina, Kelli, Monica and I took a nice little trip to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Northern Italy. It was a gorgeous scenic 2 hour car ride! Vineyards, mountains, and rivers surrounded us. We decided to park in the little town of Malcesine and enjoy the lake from there. The main event of the day was to rent a speed boat. Once we shelled out our money we hopped aboard and sped away! Lake Garda is absolutely gorgeous and it's size is imense! I just enjoyed the sun and wind while Captain Kelli sped around the lake trying to catch wakes from other boats and ferries. Unfortunately, there weren't very many out but we managed to chase a few down that we did see. After awhile we decided to give our little boat a rest and to test the waters which were FREEZING! Obviously since alot of the water comes from the melted snow from the surrounding mountains. Wasn't really in the mood for hypothermia so I just relaxed on the boat as did everyone else. As we were just floating along we saw another ferry coming our way so we put the boat into full throttle to catch up
with it so we could fly over the wakes. Well we finally catch up and fly our boat over the wakes when Kelli suddenly grabs her mouth with a look of horror on her face. She had slammed her mouth on the top of the windshield when we went over one of the wakes. She would not show any of us and we were all waiting for a gush of blood to come pouring out of her mouth. Well there wasn't any blood but she spit out a few fragments of her teeth that had been chipped off! Poor girl was so embarrassed and upset but we were all happy that she still had her teeth and was ok. After a few minutes of reassuring her that it wasn't noticeable she finally regained some composure and we continued on our way! Sadly, we had to return our boat. We then decided to stroll around the town but it started to rain a little. We didn't really think anything of it until we noticed the locals freaking out and rushing to close everything up. One of the little shop owners told us that we needed to take shelter and that something

Beautiful! bad was coming. So we rushed back to Cristina's car to move it under the parking deck and we decided to watch the storm from there. We had a clear view of the lake and watched as the clouds rolled down the mountain and over the lake until nothing was visible...then came the wind, rain, and HAIL! Hail the size of marbles were pounding on all the cars. Just as quickly as it had arrived it left and out came the sun and blue skies! Well we thought it best to leave anyways as we had a two hour car ride back and Kelli and Monica had a train to catch back to Milan. Overall, a great and interesting day and next time I'll be sure to bring an umbrella and mouth guard!
