the view from the hill of the beach
hello again .. we had to get up at 4 30 am in genova to get the train to monterosso, a VERY little village built into the hills in the regon of northern italia known as cinqueterra. it is a beutiful old fishing village built along the coast where new shops meet old ruins on teh water it is amazing.
we found a cheap--ish bead and breakfast near the beach, the beach which was not very nice, as we will learn soon many of the beaches here are full of rocks and the only draw infact is the unbelevable surroundings.
the two days we spent there though were great hiking along the coast to our own little privte cove around the point for some skinny dipping, and great dinners on the ocean with unreal views.
ok well here it is Karla has found a new love. i have been replaced by something called gelato.. italian homemade icecream which we proceded to have every day some times twice while in italy - ahha .

then we went to pisa .. the first tirp in italia from nice to gevona as we said was horrible the train was overcrowded and very very

late. hwoever we did not have to pay for it which was a bonus because all the trains we had taken in france, portugal and spain we had to pay supliment costs for. but the rest of the trains we took were great we did not have to pay for anytyhing and everywhere we went we were the starting point for the train so they were right on time.

we got to pisa .. everyone told us that there is NOTHING in pisa but the tower ... and they were RIGHT.!! we were walking around pisa (took like a hundred bloody pictures in 3 hours haha) karla bought some sunglasses and then we were talking at this little shop and we were wondering how much longer the walk would be to the tower becaue there was nothign around us .. and then all of a sudden we came out of the stope around the courner and there it was the monument to viagra on its way down hahah. it was unreal to see one of the wonders of the world up close, i think we took more pictures there then anywhere else on the trip. from every angle it

was so much fun .. but there is something anyone from toronto will know and we have learned here,, we have coined then JT wich stands for japeneese tourists they are EVERYWHERE and they have no regard for anyone but thenselves and they have a habbit of walking in front of every picture you take so you have to take it two or three times ..... hahah.. then we had lunch in an amazing little italian pizzaria where our table had the best view in the city of the tower and the square... .. unreal.
OH AND FOR THOUSE OF YOU THAT DONT KNOW THE CHURCH IN THE SQUARE IS ALSO LEANING .. WELL DONT KNOW IF IT ACCTUALLY IS BUT YOU WILL SEE THE PIC JUDGE FOR YOURSELF..
