HELLO ALL! well.. we are back home and safe. We both had a great summer! feels like a dream that we were even in Europe. We both Had an amazing time; it was such a wonderful experience. we left venice at 9 to take the overnight train to budapest, and it was very interesting!! karla got yelled at by the train ticket man at 3 in the morning in broken slovakian for about 10 minuts it was not fun. the people at the train station in venice told us that we could take the train to budapest going through slovakia with no charge (because the europas that karla has does not work in slovakia if you get on and off but was suposed to work just passsing through) BUT that was a blatient lie!!! we found out it [View Full Entry]

our trip is more than half way done ... i cant believe it! We've been to alot of places that have the sun and beaches on the coast... now we are going north and inland. After coming back from Greece we headed to FLORENCE, ITALY. We only got to spend one night in FLorence. We stayed at a campground (AGAIN) and spent the night playing cards and drinking bear.. not bad eh. The next morning we got up REAL early and headed to the city. hello all! --- warning-- this ones a long one!-- everything is going great with our euro trip. the greek islands were definitly a highlight for the both of us. After going to travel agents and talking to many locals we decided on going to two different islands. We wanted one that wasnt so touristy with gorgeous beaches and landscape and the other would be your typical greek island party get away. so we left roma at 6 am to start our 31 hours of traveling to get to athens. took the train from roma to ancona where the ferry left to go to patras the athens port. at the harbor we met some other canadians who were from toronto and hand lunch with them while we waited for the boat. then in line to get on the ferry we met some more canadians all from ottawa who we chilled with the on the boat. the ferry was huge it looked like a cruse ship it had a full bar, a pool, a [View Full Entry]

Buongiorno ROMA! oh my ... there's just so much to write aboue Rome Im not sure where to start! What a beautiful and breathtaking city, full of history. We spent the most time there out of all the cities we've been to during our EUROPE SUMMER 06 trip and believe me.. it wasnt enough. I could have stayed in Rome for weeks and weeks. hello again .. we had to get up at 4 30 am in genova to get the train to monterosso, a VERY little village built into the hills in the regon of northern italia known as cinqueterra. it is a beutiful old fishing village built along the coast where new shops meet old ruins on teh water it is amazing. we found a cheap--ish bead and breakfast near the beach, the beach which was not very nice, as we will learn soon many of the beaches here are full of rocks and the only draw infact is the unbelevable surroundings. the [View Full Entry]

soo.. its been a long time! Everything is going unreal! We're both doing really well and having an amazing time exploring Europe. So far we've done the west coast countries and they surpast our expectations. We've seen some amazing sights and had a great time. Now we are at our half way point ... can you believe it!?!? We split our trip to Italy up into two parts with our trip to Greece being in the middle. Going back to the 9th of July.... VIVA ITALIA!!
