emily's teachers
Emily and Lilian in front of the school with Lilian's teacher and Emily's music teacher Massimiliano Dear Ms Feldsher and the class
I got all your questions and I answered every one in order.
I was very happy about your mail so I am writing one back very soon.
I also show what the question was, so you know what and whom I am answering.
Love
Emily
Cass: Have you been to Pisa and seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa yet?
No, I haven't been to Pisa yet. I have been in Milano, Bergamo and Almenno. We are going to Venice, maybe we will make a trip to Paris.
Keegan: We are not having fun working. (THIS MESSAGE WAS NOT APPROVED BY THE TEACHER!!!!!)
I'm having fun working. It's hard keeping up with the rest of the class. English class is my favorite!
Bryce: What is the weather like in Italy?
It's a lot warmer than in Kirkland, but on Monday it snowed!
Blake: Where in Italy are you building your house and going to school?
Bergamo is the name of the city. Our house is in citta' alta. I go to school in Bergamo
Jack: What is the name of your school?
it's called Scuola Montessori di Bergamo, which means Montessori School of Bergamo
Ronya: Which language is easiest, English or Italian? We have been learning more cursive letters.
English is easiest, now I'm starting to forget how to spell things in english. But I still read English books in bed. And I am learning some cursive letters too like h, b, s, a and many others but it is still difficult writing whole sentences
Anna: I hope you are having fun in Italy.
Thank you. I am having fun, but I also miss you
Royal: What do you have for lunch at your school?
Lots of things, they are different every day, and they are a lot better than what we get in PK, I think. We have 2 plates one for the main dish and one for veggies and bread and other stuff. And we also have a snack in the morning that is only fruit. And they prepare it all. But for lunch in return for the good cooking we take turns cleaning the tables. And we can get seconds if we want, even of bread. One time i even got 5 breads!
And next is me!
Ella: We really miss you a lot! (SECONDED BY YOUR ENGLISH TEACHER AND ALL OF YOUR PETER KIRK CLASSMATES!!!)
I miss you too, I wish we didn't have to email and you could be here. Lilian and her class spoke to a school in florida during their English lesson, they used skype and they spoke english and italian.
I wish we could do that too.
Desiree: What is your teacher like?
I have 2 teachers, it's a girl and a boy, the girl's name is Monica, and the boy is Alessandro. Then I have an English teacher, and a music teacher, and 2 PE teachers. They are really nice but they can be strict.
The music teacher is the most fun, his name is massi, short for massimiliano. At music we learn many songs, but I like MRS Peterson better.
Tristan: What type of clothes do the pedestrians wear? Do you have a school uniform?
They are all dressed like we do. We don't have uniforms, everybody wears what they want like at PK.
Tim: Is the teacher strict?
They can be strict sometimes or nice sometimes. But in general I really like them.
Chloe: I'm having fun working. (THIS MESSAGE WAS APPROVED BY THE TEACHER!!!!!!!)
I agree with you, totally!
Blakeley: What is your favorite part about Italy so far?
My favorite part is spending time with my family and teddy. (teddy = my stuffed animal, I think you know who I mean). Also most of the girls in my class are my best friends. One of them looks like Samantha, her name is Mimi.
Alexandra: I miss you a lot. I wish you were here.
I wish you were here too!
Alex: Is the pizza better in America or in Italy?
Guess? (Totally Italy!). We are not going to be able to bring a pizza back, but we will take pictures of the pizzas we see.
Sophie: We've been working on our Strega Nona stories quite a bit.
Good for you! We have been working on commands, like for example there is a graph and it says how many times did we give lisa a cookie but it's in italian so I don't capish it, or at least not all of it.
Samantha: We went to go see Tomie de Paola at the University Bookstore. He looked different becasue he grew a beard. He was fun to listen to.
Must have been. Did you manage to get a book for me?
Carlee: I wish you would have been here when we went to see Tomie de Paola. He also signed books.
Yeah me too, I wish I oculd have been there
Hunter: The class is not the same without you! (SECONDED BY YOUR TEACHER!!)
Thanks! it's not the same here
Keeley: I can't wait until you come back.
Me neither!
Kayla: Hope you have a good Thanksgiving and Chirstmas.
they don't celebrate thanksgiving here in italy. Lilian and I will do a thanksgiving tree in class next week. But we cannot have turkey because we don't have an oven here.
Spencer: Do they sell Strega Nona books there?
I have no idea, I have not seen them.
Molly: Have you seen the Collosseum in Rome?
We haven't been to rome yet.
Stephen: Hope you have a good Thanksgiving.
You too
Conor: What is Thanksgiving like in Italy?
they don't celebrate it, it is an American holiday, because the pilgrims went to America only.
But here they celebrate Santa Lucia on Dec 13. She brings presents!
Harper: My parents are in Paris, France right now. I wish I was there too.
Must, I think it would be great there.
Brice: I have a new brown velvet blazer. Ms. Feldsher says it looks Italian.
I've never even heard of a blazer, in fact I don't know what it is. maybe you can show it to me when I come back and then I can tell you if I have seen it in Italy.
I just finished having dinner, and I just had chocolate covered torrone, it's yummy, I will bring some back for you to try too if Ms Feldsher lets me.
