Where we made believe we were rich just for a few hours
Well so much has happened since the last blog its hard to know where to start! However, we are now in Italy after spending a couple of days working our way through St Tropez, Frejus, and Monte Carlo. Unfortunately we did not win any money at the casino but then we are winners anyway so who needs it! The weather could not be better, with beautiful sunny days and not a cloud in the sky. UsualLy gets up to 25 degrees during the day. We have alternated between taking the coast road, and then when Deans blood pressure starts to rise due to it being like rush hour traffic every time you hit a small town, and the state of French and Italian driving, then we hit the toll roads so he can relax a little although that's not always the case! At least you can find frequent places to stop and toilets etc on the motorways. They are really set up for motorists and I guess you're paying for them! The best views are on the smaller highWays and certainly this stretch of coast is breathtaking. Now we have reached Italy, the price of the Internet at the camping grounds

Dean's new ride! A bit of a step up from the van!
has gone down thankfully. 11 euro for 1 hour in the Sth of France was a little excessive to say the least! McDonalds has also let us down on a number of occasions so we will contact you all when we can. we have spent nights in Aix en Provence, Frejus...an overgrown field pretty much, and over the border between france and Italy, San Remo...a very stylish campground indeed and a price to match. Some nights we sleep better than others but mostly we survive pretty well, I just have to be sure to feed dean regularly particularly when he's driving. I now have bananas and biscuits on hand to shove in his gob when he gets a bit testy! I was going to do my next blog on different ways to make a living, in particular the beggars, street hawkers, performers and prostitutes we have encountered during our travels but I will save that one until after we have been to Rome...there may be some new information to share on that subject. That's all from me for now. Love to everyone and yes we are still alive and kicking.xxx
