To Rome!!!!!!!! what started yesterday as a cruisy day, with an easy drive to Pisa and heading down the coast became a mission impossible when it comes to finding camping grounds that are actually open! The roads were good, we were finding places exactly where they said they would be and the weather was once again gorgeous, but we just couldnt find a place to park up for the night. Finally after the 4th camping ground turned us away, we bit the bullet and headed the last 160kms to Rome, where at least we knew there would be a camping ground up and operational, but whether we would get there in time to book in a reception or be parked outside the gate for the night was the challenge. Things were going great until the last 15 kms when we hit rush hour traffic in Rome! It was 6.30pm and it took 40minutes to do those last 12kms. Most receptions at camping grounds close anywhere between 6pm and 8pm and we were lucky, this one was still open when we arrived. We are at Camping Tiber in Rome, and we both agree its the best so far. Last night and tonight we are in the bar, and have eaten our first pizza in Italy. Perfect in all respects. We have spent the day wandering around Rome today and I have never seen so many hot tourists in all my life. Lucky we were dressed appropriately because while others may think this is still early spring here and are dressed in their jeans and jackets. it feel like summer to us and we wore the correct attire. We have checked out the Pantheon, the Colleseum, the Trevi Fountain and the Roman Forum, walking the whole way and after 5 hours of that in the hot sun, we caught the train and bus back to camp and headed for the bar where we have remained. Tomorrow we will go in again and see some more sights. Its so much fun! And just to let you know, the train driver looked like he had stepped out of a magazine he was sooo gorgeous! Even Dean was impressed and did a double take! It seems to be that for men, if you have hair, you grow it long and spend as much time at the hairdressers as a woman. But if you start losing your

hair, you just shave it all off. No friar tuck hair styles or comb-overs to be seen here! Thats enough from me, another half a litre of sangria is calling me! Salut!xxx
