as a garbage hunter - (yes, my eyes are constantly distracted with the remnants of human waste and dispose lining the streets, sidewalks and city walls), Napoli is a complete heaven of filth. With a flood of intense, inspiring, raw urban energy, there is not another city ..of course, made this way. It always greets me with a smother of a sour, sweaty, big bosomed embrace. One that is intensely too tight, and uncomfortably pungent, however enjoyable because of the honest adoration behind it all. So today i am here and happy.
The last month has been a whirlwind solo tour of Poland, Romania, Hungaray and Czech Republic....it was good too, but i cannot even start with that quite yet.
i just want to show today to you.
because tomorrow i will leave Napoli on a 5am train to a farm in Abruzzo to catch the final labors of the grape harvest and wine production.
today visibility is good, winds are calm, a few clouds, here at 19 degrees celsius with 52% humidity.
