Capri View
Aliya and Mel enjoying the view atop Capri! On the 15th, Als, KJ and I (melissa) headed off to Capri from Sorrento. Capri is the Island of the Sirens or Mermaids, depending on how you translate. We arrived via ferry (just when we thought we had taken our last ferry!) after 20 minutes. We grabbed our One day, whole island pass and took the cable car up to Capri. A quick stop in Capri determined we wanted to head to Anicapri to go to the top of Capri and then to the Blue Grotto. Both were AMAZING. After the chairlift ride you arrive at the top and you can really see the beauty and what adds to the splendar is the birds in the background!
The island is full of lush vegetation and is surronded by the amazing waters. The Blue Grotto is the brightest natural blue I have ever seen, plus Aliya got serenaded by the row boat rower. Afterwards, we hoped back on the bus to Anicapri and back to Capri to visit the Gardens of Capri. A few shopping stops and we were on our way back down to the port as the day had flown by and it was nearing 7 (the last ferry
Highest Point on Capri Island
We made it to the top, stopping for photos back to Sorrento).
For dinner we headed into Sorrentos main square for a full dinner followed by lemonchello and watched the locals and tourists walk along the bustling square.
Afterwards we headed back to the hotel for me to pack up and we were exhausted from all the walking around.
Talk to you soon!
Melissa
