A chance to take a guided tour of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii as we head across Italy to Brindisi and our overnight ferry. Was in the biggest rush this morning. Only got 4 hours sleep and had to leave at 7.30. Breakfast was at 7, and they wouldn't let us in earlier so it was a big rush to get our stuff to the coach and mop and sweep our cabins in time, and make sure we had our daypacks with us for the ferry. Stopped at Pompeii, which was so cool to look around, I wish we had more time. Mount Vesuvius errupted in 79 A.D., burying Pompeii in ash.
