Edit Blog Post
I was sitting here drinking my strawberry milk and feeling lonely. Amber just left today and I am here till Monday. Ah the loneliness of a campus with no people! Then I realized I should be keeping up with my blog. Yes I know you are all thinking that girl is a lazy daucer, but I guess that is the truth. I thought the title to my blog would make a wonderful song title. I am going to have to do a little song writing later with my peace and quite!
Well I went to Ireland for Saint Patrick’s Day. I am not sure what to write about this trip. I learned several lessons from the experience. Let's read my short, but important list. Ah my soap box.. I missed you soap box!
1. First impressions are worthless!
2. Strawberry milk is the cure to all problems
3. Music soothes your soul and if that doesn’t work than follow the Irish to the nearest pub.
4. Alchie doesn’t cure all... Really just suppresses what you are really thinking! I can’t believe the alchie of who I am is saying that?!?!
5. Ordering a Bailey's coffee in a Pub is uncouth.
6.
Last but not least, You always know when you have a good friend if you can cry on their shoulder while waiting for a cab! It amazes me the friends I have come across in this crazy world of mine! I don’t deserve them!
Okay, those are just a few important lessons. Really I probably don’t know what I am talking about. Now back to the Ireland trip! I am going to focus on the good moments of this trip because the negative moments just make life a lot longer.
My favorite moment of the whole trip was when Amber and I were tired and ready to leave. We jumped into a cab with the coolest driver ever. I noticed that he had a guitar in his front seat. I didn’t say anything, but Amber did. He told us he played songs while he was waiting for passengers. He asked us if we played.. made me miss good ol "jewel" aka my guitar. He gave the guitar to Amber and she had the opportunity to play a song. Then I got to play the rest of the way home. I never play for people and I was playing quietly. My
fingers missed the feeling of the frets.. Peter Cabrera you were right and I should have brought my guitar!
The first day was amazing as well. I had arrived before the girls and had the opportunity to lie down in St. Steven's Green Park. It was a beautiful day with the sun shinning and everyone out enjoying the sun shine. I layed in the park and napped for a good hour. I awoke to watch a little boy and his grandpa playing football (soccer for you americans 😊 ). The little kid would run after the soccer ball and dive for it like he was superman. I remember laughing so hard because they looked so happy. The grandpa would do this cool little jump over the soccer ball (I couldn’t have done it and I am 21! Wait I don’t know how to play soccer! My mates are supposed to teach me!). and the grandson would attempt the same move and would fall right on his rear! It was great and I wished I was a kid at that moment to go and play with them! I love that people just go to the park, lie in the sun,
nap, and just enjoy the slow moments of life! Its moments like these that make up for the rough moments in life.
The last night was great as well. Amber and I ended to going to this music bar. It didn’t have live music, but it was a nice place to sit and talk about life. I don't know what I would do without Amber and her listening to my drama! I am not sure how she puts up with my OC dramatic self.. Not sure how I put up with it?!?! Oh NO! The bar was amazing and then it was off to grab Hagen D. ice cream! Yum! I had the Baileys of course. She had toffee and I think the double/triple chocolate! haha!
Here are some pics from the trip. I wish I could go into more detail about this trip, but it seems fuzzy like it was ages ago. I think the sun I got this week took away some more of those important brain cells I so desperately need! If you couldn’t tell from my previous blogs I can’t spell! AH!
Oh Wait! I forgot to tell all of you of the
scary batch job I got from Toni and Guy! AHHHHHHH! That is all I can say! You can see the crazyness of the hair so please ignore it! I was looking at pics when my hair was longer and I miss it! tear... tear...
