I made it to Keele University! Will a 21 year old girl be able to make it for a semester in a land full of puddings made of meat, 2,000 word papers, and with a country that enjoys the drink? I think so... Follow me in my journy's to come as I learn how giant the world really is!

Amber is officially gone. She left this morning. I had to drop her off at the airport last night because her flight left this morning at 6am. I miss her. I am realizing how hard it is going to be to leave the people I have met. Feeling a little down today. I am exhausted, still recovering from uni stress, and an emotional case! This trip has changed my life and I have met amazing people. Goodbye's are the worst and some of these goodbye's are "have a nice life" (quote taken from amber) or as Josh would say "have a nice life and dont die soon." Leaving Josh is going to kill me as well. I can't believe I leave a week from Saturday to go back to work and summer school. Enough of my ... read more

Well Finals have arrived upon me. I don't think I have ever studied this hard in my life and I don't know if I have any sanity anymore. Here I am to take a break and tell you about my grand trip to Venice. Things have been great here at Uni, but I can't believe I only have 16 days till I am back in TX. It is sad, exciting, scary, and a whole other load of emotions mixed together to help with my craziness. Last night I got to be a nerd and got to see the 145 showing of Star Wars. Josh and I talked about going forever ago and I thought I was going to be the only girl, but I wasn’t! Josh's whole block went and it was a great laugh! I ... read more

Ciao! Well I made it to my homeland of I Italy. I forgot how much I love the country. I am planning to study there for my masters. I love the feel of the Italians. When I arrived I realized how weak my Italian skills were. I can't wait to really work on my skills next semester at UNT. Rome is an amazing place and it is going to be hard to describe the beauty of the things I saw. I arrived at the airport and caught the train to the city. I got to the hostel right as they choose the new Pope. It was awesome because the bells were ringing at the Vatican and you could hear them from our hostel. I got there to find Josh asleep in his bed. He had the ... read more

Well I am officially back at Uni in England. Had a month off to do a little exploring and resting. I needed it and I am finally over the sickness that plagued me for so long! HAHA I beat you stomach acid thing! Anyway.. sorry it has been so long since I have written in here, but did not have a lot of access to a comp! Spain seems like a long long while ago... I will try to remember all the funnyness of the trip. It didnt start out too great because Amber and I woke up (on time or so we thought!) and started to get ready. We headed to the bus stop and once we got there we talked to some of her friends and realized the clocks had moved foward an hour!!!! ... read more

All I did was write... drink tea... write... drink tea... ah caffeine... their isnt anything we cant overcome together... It was a long 48 hours of paper writing! I just had two papers to write because I had already gotten 2 out of the way! WOOT WOOT JULES! My neighbor John and I would message each other during the process. We helped each other keep track of word counts and take the enjoyable tea breaks! I look like a crazy every time I came out of my room to see the world... Well Wednesday was the night! I was sitting here drinking my strawberry milk and feeling lonely. Amber just left today and I am here till Monday. Ah the loneliness of a campus with no people! Then I realized I should be keeping up with my blog. Yes I know you are all thinking that girl is a lazy daucer, but I guess that is the truth. I thought the title to my blog would make a wonderful song title. I am going to have to do a little song writing later with my peace and quite! Well I went to Ireland for Saint Patrick’s Day. I am not sure what to write about this trip. I learned several lessons from the experience. Let's read my short, but important list. Ah my soap box.. I missed you soap box! 1. First impressions ... read more

The Land of the Beatles! Who knew that an amazing group of men could all come from one place? Amber and I stayed up till 3 am and I am not too sure what we did. I think the night involved toast and jam with a movie! We woke up and jumped on the coach. Amber slept in my lap the whole way and I just day dreamed out the window. I have been thinking about my mom a lot lately. I have had this incredible urge to call her, but if you know me you know that is not possible. I would just love to tell her all the amazing people I have met, all the places I have seen, and I wish more than anything I could hear her travel stories. She was the ... read more

Hello Everyone! It feels like it has been ages since I wrote in here. I think it has only been a week in reality. It’s been a long messy week and I am glad to be home in my nice warm bed with Murphy (my stuffed pink dog). Have been writing papers since Monday and have had little sleep. I officially have the crazy eyes! (Little life aquatic reference and if you have not seen that movie get on it!). In celebration of being done for the term I thought I would bother you all with my interesting trip of Warwick! One again slacker Amber and I stayed up till 3 am before our trip! We had to be up at 7! Oh NO! Woke up and ran to good ol Holly. Threw on my clothes ... read more

Wednesday morning I was lying all warm and comfy in my bed. All of the sudden the horrible sound of the phone made me get out of my warm cinnamon roll bed(little Simpson’s reference there for those of you who didn’t catch it). It was Amber and she was going to go to Birmingham to go to the Cadbury factory with some people from her marketing class. I was content on sleeping and then writing my paper, but Amber wouldn’t have it and made me get my ass out of bed! We did the usual of waiting for the bus in the cold! Let me tell you how tired I am of that someday! The whole reason I was going to the chocolate factory was to bathe in the chocolate river! Ah... We get on the ... read more

Spent five wonderful days in the city of Glasgow. I went to visit my friend Jacqueline who goes to the uni of North Texas as well. She worked in the study abroad office there and it was scary how much we have in common. I arrived on Wednesday afternoon and it was a beautiful train ride up there. It had been snowing and everything looked picturesque. The green hilly land was covered in snow and there were sheep everywhere. I was going to attempt to get some work done, but I couldn’t stop looking out of the window! Jac meet me at the train station and we headed to her uni. I really loved Strathaclyde and it was in the middle of the big city. I could see myself studying at her uni. The first night ... read more
