Santorini today! We had to get up early because we went on one of the ships excursions to the Nea Kameni volcano and walked up to the rim where it was steaming and smelled of sulphur. There were also little holes on the track where steam was coming out, and it was hot to touch. After that we went on the tour boat to the thermal waters and had a swim. It wasn't very warm and because of the minerals from the volcanic stuff the water was a browny yellow colour. We had to jump off the boat and swim to the hot bit. On the island there were lots of goats watching us. Only one person lives on the island. After the swim we were taken back to Santorini and we went up in the cable car to the village of Fira and had a look around and some lunch. The streets were narrow and it was hot and a bit smelly in places, probably from the poor donkeys that take people up the hillside if they don't want to catch the cable car. Then we went back to the ship for our afternoon swim and ice cream!
