After a 16 hour ferry ride we arrived in Patras, Greece! We had to wait an extra hour or so because the sea was so rough we couldnt dock.. Not the best first impression! Nevertheless the made it to steady ground! Kim did well to handle her sea-sickness 😊 Next task was to make our way to Athens which we did after eating the most enjoyable meals we had had in a long time at a cafe by the train station. We arrived in Athens with (you guessed it...) no accomo planned but got a handout at the station about a hostel just down the road so made our way there! Must say we didnt really get to see much of Athens. Next day waited all avo at the docks for our ferry to Mykynos! Anth met up with a couple of Aussies who he'd met on the 16hour ferry and we decided we would check out somewhere for us all to stay once we were off. It was so crazy getting off that ferry, we were bombarded with about 30 people holding signs trying to get us all to stay at there accom! We picked one who piled us 5
in her van and set off to our fully furnished apartment 5 mins from the beach. We had hardly settled in when we were all called out to drink and join in the fun with a heap of italians staying in the same block. A good night!! The next day Anth and I hired a bike and so did the other two boys. Kimmy jumped on the back of whoevers was closest haha. Our time in Mykynos was fun! We spent it mainly at the beach, riding round the island, watching the rugby (Back in happy times), drinking and dancing. The photos will explain the fun!
After Mykynos we said goodbye to our new found friends and headed to Santorini! The final stop in our adventure😞 And what a beautiful one to end on! We were only there for 3 nights, in a hostel ran by a man who looked like Jesus and had a mean spring in his step! Once again enjoyed biking round the island and lying on the beach. Met some other cool peeps though you could tell the season was winding down. The clubs werent full, but that was ok it let us simmer down for
the trip back to the UK to find work... Heres what happened! Enjoy xx J
